SPSS

IBM SPSS is a software package used for statistical analysis.

This capability is provided by the SPSS format plugin, which you need to install. Please see Installing plugins.

You need to import your .sav file into Dataiku and then choose the SPSS format.

This format supports the following record types from .sav files:

  • Numeric, string, and long string records.

  • Date and time records, which are deliberately not kept in their original SPSS date display format, but instead converted to ISO 8601-like outputs: yyyy-mm-dd for date values, HH:mm:ss for time values, and yyyy-mm-dd HH:mm:ss for datetime values.

  • Variable labels which can be used as column names.

  • Value labels which can be used as column values.
