Process Mining¶
In modern organizations, understanding how processes execute is critical to operational excellence. Business processes — from order fulfillment to incident resolution — often deviate from documented procedures, creating inefficiencies, compliance issues, and customer dissatisfaction.
Data-driven process optimization¶
Process Mining is a set of techniques used to analyze event logs in order to better understand how business processes actually unfold in practice. These logs can come from manual actions (e.g. task completion), automated system tasks (e.g. alert generation), or external inputs (e.g. a customer request). They are typically large, messy, and too complex to decipher without the right tools.
This is exactly what Process Mining supports: to discover, analyze, and optimize business processes from event logs. It aims to be a uniform and accessible way to provide a wide range of process specialists with the capability to quickly and easily extract optimization insights from their operational data.
By using this app with historical event data on your business processes, you can discover how processes actually execute, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and use these insights to improve your process designs.
In a nutshell, with this app you can:
Discover actual process flows from event data and visualize them as interactive process graphs.
Analyze process variants to understand different execution paths.
Identify bottlenecks and performance issues in your processes.
Drill down to individual cases for root cause analysis.
Save your studies for reproducibility and share them as reports with your organization.
The full documentation for Process Mining is available inside the application.
Note
Process Mining is delivered as a Business Application.
