Installing plugins

Installing from the Store (with Internet access)

The recommended way to install most plugins is to go to Administration > Plugins, in the “Store” tab. Search and select your plugin, click on install and validate.

This installation method works for officially published plugins, and requires that your server has HTTPS connectivity to the Internet.

Installing from a Zip file

To install plugins that are not on the official store or if your server doesn’t have Internet access, you need first to obtain the Zip file of the plugin.

For official plugins, obtain the Zip archive from https://www.dataiku.com/community/plugins

Uploading the Zip archive

  • Go to Administration > Plugins
  • Select the Advanced tab
  • Click on Choose your file and enter your plugin
  • Validate
  • Follow the restart instructions if any

Updating a plugin

  • Go to Administration > Plugins
  • Select the Advanced tab
  • Click on Choose your file and enter your plugin
  • Check the “Is Update” checkbox
  • Validate
  • Follow the restart instructions if any

Installing from a Git repository

  • Go to Administration > Plugins
  • Select the Advanced tab
  • Enter the repository details and click on “Clone”

Note that doing that creates an “export” of the Git repository, i.e. does not preserve the history. To clone a plugin from a Git repository with history and ability to push your changes, see Git integration in the plugin editor.
