Publishing Assets to a Catalog Collection¶
You can publish an asset to a Catalog Collection from:
the asset’s right panel
the Catalog Collection’s Add asset action
When an asset is not already readable, you can grant Allow read authorization while adding it. Datasets also support Allow discover, which exposes limited metadata without exposing the dataset content. All assets support None, which does not grant visibility to Catalog Collection members who have no other access. See Permissions and Asset Visibility for details.
To publish an asset to a Catalog Collection, a user must have all of the following permissions:
Publish to Catalog Collections global group permission, granted by an instance admin
Publish to Catalog Collections project-level permission for the project that contains the asset, granted by a project admin
Contributor or Admin role on the Catalog Collection, granted by a Catalog Collection admin
Removing Assets from a Catalog Collection¶
Any Catalog Collection member with the Contributor or Admin role can remove assets from the collection.
Removing an asset from a Catalog Collection does not affect the asset in its source project or any other location where it is published.
Note
A user who does not have the required global and project-level Publish to Catalog Collections permissions cannot add the asset back after removing it.
