Assets

In the Assets section of the Catalog, you can search for assets available to you across your organization’s Dataiku instance. Supported asset types include datasets, indexed external tables, saved models, fine-tuned models, retrieval-augmented LLMs, agents, agent tools, and semantic models.

Use filters to narrow results by asset type, project, data steward, Catalog Collection membership, partitioning, or tags. For indexed external tables, you can also filter by connection, database catalog, and database schema.

The details and actions available from the Catalog depend on the asset type and your permissions. For project assets, you can inspect metadata, see the projects where an asset is used, reuse it in another project, or publish it to a Catalog Collection. Dataset-specific actions include previewing or publishing a dataset to the Feature Store.

If your instance admin has indexed external database connections, you can also search for Indexed External Tables in the Assets section. You can inspect these tables and their schemas and import them as Dataiku datasets. Indexed external tables are not project assets and cannot be published to Catalog Collections; after import, the resulting dataset can be used in projects and published to Catalog Collections.

Note

You can also search for DSS objects through Search DSS Items, available from the Applications menu. However, the Catalog is the recommended place to search for assets, in order to more easily view asset information and reuse assets in your projects.
