Microsoft Foundry

Agent Management discovers agents in Microsoft Foundry projects, including prompt, workflow, hosted, and Container App agents.

Connection and discovery

Use a Microsoft Foundry connection with Azure authentication. Discovery can be restricted to selected subscriptions and resource groups. The connection identity needs access to the Azure resources and the Foundry project data plane.

Interaction-log collection also requires a resolved Application Insights resource and permission to query its logs through Azure Monitor. Discovery alone does not ensure that telemetry is available.

Supported capabilities

  • Inventory and structure: prompt agents expose configuration, models, tools, and deployment metadata. Hosted agents expose configuration, tools, and deployment metadata. Workflow agents expose configuration; Container App agents expose configuration and deployment metadata.

  • Interaction logs and traces: collected from Application Insights and converted into agent interactions and unified traces.

  • Tokens and cost: derived from model usage in the collected telemetry and available pricing.

  • Uptime tests and agent reviews: supported through agent invocation.

  • Platform actions: disable and re-enable agents on the source platform.

Limitations

Log collection cannot start when Agent Management cannot resolve the agent’s Application Insights resource. Trace detail and token attribution depend on the telemetry emitted by the agent. Separate platform-metric fetching and active-user or conversation usage metrics are unavailable through this connector.
