Upgrading FM¶
You can upgrade Fleet Manager to a more recent version using AWS CloudFormation by following these steps:
Make sure you have an EBS snapshot of your Fleet Manager’s data disk, and keep its Snapshot ID at hand. You can either create the snapshot manually or rely on the one issued through the lifecycle policy of the current version’s CloudFormation template.
Delete the current version’s CloudFormation stack.
Create a new CloudFormation stack using the new version’s CloudFormation template, and in the “Specify stack details” screen, type your Snapshot ID in the field called “(Optional) Restore from this Snapshot ID”.
Proceed with the same remaining steps as in the guided setup example. Once the CloudFormation stack is created, the new version of Fleet Manager will be up and running.
